The story behind the pavilion:
After Jim Simmons passing several of his former Scouts and Rovers wanted to create a lasting memorial to honor his dedication the Rotary Scout Reservation. We came upon the idea of an area that would be utilized by Scouts in the future. We came together as a group and built the structure ourselves in gratitude of his efforts and to offer new generations of Scouts a place to fellowship and enjoy the camp.
